Every six months the committee meets to decide and award a special prize to handlers and their dogs who have excelled in the various classes. A big congratulations go to Emma with Sherlock for ‘The Most Improved puppy award’ and Wendy with Luna for ‘The Most Improved adult dog’. At training Gary Morris, our chairman presented the proud handlers with their awards,
We also have a very special award given in the name and memory of Roger Williams our past chairman, a very special man who devoted much of his life to the club, Roger was stickler for detail and effort and we reflect his values in making our decision. ‘The Roger Williams Progression Award’ went to a very worth winner James with his German Shepherd Teddy. At training Di, Roger’s partner presented James with the cup.

I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
Sadly one of our fellow members Wayne has had to say goodbye to his beloved dog Senna. Wayne had worked really hard with Senna to overcome the problems he had and his loss has left a big void in the family and our thoughts are with him.
Here are a few photos of Senna that we can keep on the website to remember him by.
Hopefully we are getting a little closer to the day I can announce the resumption of training and I for one, cannot wait for that day.
I hope you are all staying safe and well.
As many of you will already know the club donates almost all of the proceeds from the club fees to registered animal charities.
At this very difficult time many of these charities are really struggling. We are therefore working on a plan to donate a larger amount from the clubs funds to support as many as we can.
One of our committee also suggested that if members are able to afford to donate the training fees that would have been spent whilst we are isolating to any animal charities they will be very grateful as most are finding it incredibly difficult to raise funds in their usual way.
Unfortunately we will not be able to coordinate this as we have no method of collecting the money whilst we are all off.
Here is a list of some of the charities we donate to and most have a link to make a donation on line.
