All our trainers are volunteers and give their time free of charge:
Puppy Class
Carol McKeough takes puppies up until around a year of age, teaching basic obedience and social behaviour. Carol also prepares handlers and their puppies for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Award.
Beginner Class
Mark & Su Good take the beginner’s group, which includes all new adult dogs and puppies moving up into the adult group. They concentrate on good behaviour and social obedience, also helping with problem and rescue dogs.
Intermediate Class
Di Youdale trains the intermediate group introducing off lead work and teaching handlers to work to a high level of obedience training, whilst also having fun with their dogs.
Advanced Class
Sue Miller trains the advanced group to a much higher level of obedience and heads up the SDC Display team who perform demonstrations at local events. These are purely voluntary.
Other Trainers
Mel Kirk. Judith Ratcliffe, Peter Smith- These are our valuable members from the advanced group who cover training the other groups when our regular trainers are unavailable.
